***Sorry for the late post everyone.

"Michael"
Run 800m
50 Back Extensions
50 Situps
Three rounds for time.

The answer to yesterday's pop quiz is in fact Dylan and Nicole wrestling over who gets to go workout first thing in the morning.  Looks like Nicole is winning.
Dylanandthebear
Actually, I'm just kidding.  The true answer is Doug Seus and Bart the Bear.  They've been in numerous films including: Legends of the Fall, The Edge, and Walt Disney's The Bear.

This workout was sent to me by some of the gals who've been wanting to do a high-rep, rotation WOD like we did in the good, ol' days:

Hey Eric
Romney, Ailee and I got together and thought of some fun ones we never do anymore........
-Good Mornings
-Renegades
-Sledge Hammer to tire
-Medicine ball slams
-the thing where you put a barbell in the tube thing and lift with one arm
-where you hold a weight over your head with one arm and slide your other arm down your leg
-run/jump through the ladder
-Ring rows
Thanks, Kari
PS You are the most wonderful human being I have ever met in my entire life.

Therefore, with a continuously running clock, perform as many reps as possible at each of the eight exercises (stations).  You will be given one minute at each station to complete your reps before immediately moving on to the next, making this an eight minute round.  Much like a "Fight Gone Bad", you will be given a one minute rest before starting the second and third round.  This makes for an exact twenty-six minute WOD.
Accumulate your number of total reps and post score to comments.
(ok, maybe she didn't write the post script)

***The Gym will be closed today in preparation of tomorrows Games.  We apologise for any inconvenience.***

***Update:  We've had a lot of folks offering to volunteer on Saturday.  Thank you!
Here's what we need so far:
-Pot luck dishes for the party Saturday night.  We have a keg of Blvd Wheat, chicken brats, grilled onions, buns, a fruit dish, and a zucchini dish.  Looks like we'll need a few more dishes to feed everyone.  (I'm expecting about 50 people total).  BTW-bring swimsuits, Todd's got an awesome pool and hot-tub!
-If anyone wants to help out today, I will be at the gym today at 11am setting up for the Dirty Thirty WOD.  Then Chad, Todd and I will be out marking the trail at Turkey Mtn at 3pm.

Hey guys,
This time last year I weighed 158 pounds and was a size 10-12!  This first picture was taken July of 2008, the second one was taken July 2009!  I know I’m not at NextGen any more (Texas now), but you guys are the reason I’m where I am today.  I wanted to share these pictures with you to say thank you for helping me get here! Today I weigh 138 pounds, 18% body fat, and am a size 2-4!  I feel better now at 37 years old than I have in years, and I know because of the Zone Diet and CrossFit I am going to feel good at 47, 57, and 67...... Thanks for believing in me before I believed in myself.
Love ya,
Heather Hodges

Skill/Strength:  Sumo Deadlifts
Three heavy sets of 7, 5 and 3 reps.

WOD:  Five rounds of 500m sprints, each timed.
Rest roughly five minutes between rounds.

Half of the 7am trail run this Saturday will be running through the woods (see picture on the left), whereas the second half of the run will be out in the open (pic on right).  GPS tracker put the loop at a little over 3 1/2 miles.
IMG_9569 IMG_9564
To be the absolute best athlete that you can be, you need to be able to be proficient in longer distance/duration endurance events as well as shorter, more intense workouts.  It is not uncommon for CrossFitters to train in the 5K to 10K range either on rowers or running, and of course, even longer when cycling.  Sometimes it just feels good to clear your head and play outdoors.  Where are some of your favorite places to run/row/cycle and play in the Tulsa area?

How do you deal with the mental and physical pain of CrossFit?  What keeps you going?  Is it the chance to beat others, or are you motivated more by improving your previous times?

WOD 1:  Eric will be running the 4-mile loop at Turkey Mountain again tomorrow at 7am if anyone wants to run with him.  (PLEASE SHOW UP AT 6:45AM SO WE CAN BEGIN RUNNING AT 7AM!)
FYI - This will be the same route that we use for our "Get Dirty" Games next weekend.

WOD 2:  We've had numerous people ask if Luila can do another track workout, therefore, Saturday's WOD will be at the Memorial High School track again (behind LaFortune Park) at 9:30am.  This WOD will end at 10:30 so that way she can make it back in time to teach the 11am Introduction class at the gym.

Corbin showed good pushup form in last week's "Team Trevor" WOD.
Chest and chin to the ground, shoulders dropping below the elbow plane, full lockout of elbows at the top of the press, body in a full plank position.
Hips are neither sagging, nor piking.
