Congratulations to Taras and his beautiful bride!
Zone tip#7
Memorize the grams of carbs, proteins, and fats required to make one block. Then you can look at any label and with a little arithmetic, figure out your portions with ease.
1 protein block =7 grams
1 carb block = 9 grams
1 fat block = 3 grams
It is worth the hassle and investment of time to go through the inconvenience of weighing and measuring for at least two weeks or even one month. After all that work, you will almost never have to measure again. Your brain will do it by simply "eyeing" the food. But the "eyes" do need to be trained. Otherwise our "eyes" really are bigger than our stomachs, or at least bigger than our block requirements. Typically, a female will need 10 to 12 blocks per day, and a male will need 14 to 16 blocks per day. If you want to see som e serious changes, make an appointment with Eric to take your body fat measurements. Then he can give you an exact zone block "prescription" for lean body mass. You need to feed your body, not your body fat.

11 rounds modified. I'm really happy about it cause I didn't finish DFL for a change... Also big props to Nikki who dropped to the green and did very well and Clint who didn't complain about back problems for a change.

Well, I made it in 4 times this week. First time since my job changed a month ago that I have made it more than once in a week. I guess 7 am is just the way I will have to go. I didn't post any times because they were shameful. I will think about it next week. Great being back in the gym, and by the way Eric's new ride is off the hook or whatever those young whipper snappers say these days.
